Empowering Humanity Through Virtues – A Transformative Volunteer Opportunity

As a Ph.D. candidate in Psychology at Liberty University, I am conducting a research study titled "Evaluating the Impact of Cultivating Virtues on One’s Well-Being." This initiative explores how seven virtues—Faith, Courage, Integrity, Compassion, Generosity, Respect, and Humility—can elevate emotional resilience, foster deeper human connections, and inspire meaningful change in both individuals and society.

Why This Matters for Your Community

Well-being, as defined by the WHO-5 Index, is a state of positive emotional and mental health, reflected in cheerfulness, calmness, vitality, restful sleep, and engagement in life. It represents one’s ability to feel energized, at peace, and actively involved in daily experiences.

Through this study, each virtue gently nurtures well-being, bringing more ease, warmth, and connection into everyday life:
Faith – Fosters trust and reassurance, offering inner strength even in uncertain times.
Courage – Encourages openness and confidence, empowering individuals to face life’s challenges.
Integrity – Strengthens self-trust and inner peace, aligning actions with one’s core values.
Compassion – Cultivates kindness and understanding, enhancing relationships and self-care.
Generosity – Awakens the joy of giving, uplifting both self and community.
Respect – Deepens human connection, honoring each person’s uniqueness.
Humility – Keeps us open to growth, allowing wisdom to shape us with grace.

By embracing these virtues, we invite balance, harmony, and connection into our lives and the world.

How It Works

Participants will engage in a 21-day guided journaling experience (15 minutes per day) and two Zoom meetings, alongside a pre- and post-study well-being assessment (WHO-5). Their time and dedication will be formally recognized through documented volunteer service hours, offering a meaningful way to contribute to both personal growth and humanitarian impact.
